Helping PLF Move "Full Speed Ahead"
Jamie Deuel, a retired naval Commander, and his wife, Carol, have put PLF in their wills.
PLF supporters Jamie and Carol Deuel can look back on a life of excitementand service.
An Annapolis grad, Jamie was selected by Admiral Rickover for the nuclear submarine program, and served on five submarines, including the world's first "nuke," the USS NAUTILUS. He estimates he has lived three years of his life submerged!
He is also an ex-Olympic wrestling Mat Chairman. (He sadly recounts that, as a referee at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, he roomed with one of the Israelis murdered by Palestinian terrorists.)
A CEO of his own environmental engineering firm, Jamie was nominated to "Who's Who in the World" as an environmental engineer.
WHY THE DEUELS HAVE CHOSEN TO LEAVE BEQUESTS TO PLF:
"As a career naval officer, I mostly stayed away from politics. But I spent my final tour of duty in London. There, I lived and observed the dichotomy of a socialist state, noting that the people were wonderful, but the political system was terrible. On my way to New Mexico, I read Ayn Rand's 'Atlas Shrugged', and experienced an epiphany.
Since then, especially in my business years fighting the arrogance, incompetence, and gross inefficiency of the government agencies and bureaucrats regulating the private sector, my frustration grew. Then, one day, I discovered the work and remarkable success of PLF in fighting 'Big Brother' and protecting our basic freedoms Besides our estate commitment, Carol and I have made monthly contributions to the efforts of PLF and are among its most enthusiastic supporters."
